Oh, hi! I am so glad you're here. I'm Elaina, the founder and owner of Digital Dreams by Elaina - a high school passion project I had the privilege of turning into my career (that is still a passion!) Once we get to know each other better, I would love to tell you how I got into photography, but in this letter I want to talk about my why. 

I reflect on why I love photography often. As someone who has dealt with anxiety and depression for the majority of my life, something I have always been very open about, photography has become my favorite coping skill. When I take photos I feel my most free, happy, and confident.

Another reason I love photography is getting to tell a story. I am very close to my family, so one of my favorite things is hearing them tell stories from growing up. Photography allows us another way to preserve memories and document this time in our lives. I've looked back on so many memories and thought "Wow, I am so glad I have a picture of this," or "I wish I had a picture of that moment." Every photo has a story behind it, and I'd love to capture that story with you.
